Do You Use Credit Cards to Save? - Part 2

My favourite food used to be Tony Romas' baby-back ribs as I thought it was the best. Whenever I'm on business trips, I will check whether there is Tony Romas in that country and have a great meal there. So far, Tokyo was the best! Now no more business trips liao!

Then one day I stumbled upon Cafe Cartel and tried the St. Louis Pork Ribs there. Wow, it was value for money, more delicious and better! Luckily my mum likes western food. She also likes the St. Louis Pork Ribs very much. Then she will say "so long never eat here". Oh dear, soon I will be like her! I better play more Viwawa Wahjong!

So I will occasionally pamper her with a good lunch or dinner of St. Louis Pork Ribs, eating out at Cafe Cartel on weekends. Also pamper myself lor! They are having this promotion for quite time, discounted price plus free upgrade to complete meal (depends which branch you go, ok). She will have the soup and coffee, while 3 of us will share the ribs plus free flow of bread. Hmm, the bread there is yummy! Depending on appetite, we might order another side or main dish. Then I pay using my Citibank credit card, get 15% discount!

NTUC Fairprice Shares pays 5% dividend!

Yesterday I received the NTUC Fairprice Co-operative's dividend and rebate statement for financial year ended March 31, 2008. I was surprised to receive so much money for this investment! I was holding more shares than I thought. I received 5% dividend and 4% in rebate, which had already been credited to my bank account on September 5, 2008. LIFE@55 - What CPFB Don't Tell You!

CPFB started to talk about Risk Pooling only in April 2019 after being queried at Parliament. They have never talked about Risk Pooling since CPF Life was introduced, not even in any Life@55 Talks! Do you know are there other important information CPFB is still not telling you at Life@55 or @facebook? In the past (eg 2014), members have to decide/choose their CPF Life Plan (ie Standard vs Basic) at 55 and part-CPF Life annuity premiums would be deducted from their Retirement Account (RA) for transfer to the CPF Life Pool. Only at 65 when monthly payout starts will the reminder of the CPF Life annuity premiums be transferred from RA to CPF Life Pool. For members turning 55 after July 2015, they only need to choose their CPF Life Plan (ie Standard, Basic or Escalating Plan) if they decide to start payout at 65 or delay till 70.
